Pivot table

I do have 24 hour data I need to sort the data to count loads each hour shift are from 11:35pm to  7:34 am 3rd, 7:35am to 3:34 pm 1st and 3:35 pm to 11:34 pm 2nd see attach.


I want to pivot table charting by shift per day.

Hi Nishan,


It seems like you almost had this correct, you just need to rearrange the fields in the PivotTable Fields dialog.


You can see how to correctly set up pivot table rows and columns in the video lesson: Expert Skills Lesson 5-3 Understand pivot table rows and columns.


I have attached a copy of your workbook with the fields rearranged to show the values by shift for each date:

You might prefer to show the shift numbers along the top instead of grouped under each date. If so, you can do this by moving the Shift field into the Columns list instead of Rows.
