I am trying to import an excel spread sheet into my Outlook contacts.   I saved it as a CSV file but outlook only finds corrupted data,  I re-saved once, with the same result,  Can someone walk me through the process step by step.

Hi Daniel,

Your CSV file will need to match Outlook's standard for importing contacts. If it doesn't have exactly the layout that Outlook expects you will get this error.

I have attached a workbook with Outlook's expected layout.

Attached File  OutlookContacts.xlsx   10.38KB   57 downloads

You can see how to save workbooks in different formats (including CSV) in the video lesson: Essential Skills Lesson 1-7 Understand common file formats.

I hope this is the solution you were looking for, but please feel free to reply if you're still having trouble importing the contacts.
