I am trying to separate segments of a list and move each segment to a new location, The segments are always separated by a space, the length of each list varies

You should be able to do this by simply copying and pasting the segments as needed. You can select an entire segment of data by clicking on one of the cells in a segment and pressing <Ctrl>+<A>. You can also select all cells below or to the right of a cell by pressing <Ctrl>+<Shift>+<Down Arrow> and <Ctrl>+<Shift><Right Arrow>.

Automating this process is more complex, but it can be achieved by using macros with relative references. The solution to a very similar problem is shown in: Expert Skills Lesson 9-15 Record a macro with relative references.
