The videos are hosted on dedicated servers connected to the Internet backbone at 1,000 Mb/s. We monitor performance by playing videos on slave servers in several countries around the world every hour.  If there is ever a "usage spike" that could degrade quality we add more servers so that video play is always fast and stutter free.

Wherever you are in the world, videos will always load and play as fast as your Internet connection allows.

The videos are encoded in such a way that you only need a 0.2 Mb/s connection to view them in their lowest resolution. The average speed of connection in the USA/Canada/Europe is now 5.8 Mb/s (29 times faster) so most users will never see any stuttering when playing videos, and playback will begin instantly.

All courses are now available in four resolutions (click the quality button on the top left of the video player window).  If your connection isn't good enough for full HD try reducing the quality to 540P, 480P or 360P as these quality settings use far less bandwidth and will work on slower connections.

You can test your own connection speed at www.speedtest.net. It will vary hugely depending upon the time of day and number of users sharing your connection.
