You are correct that it is only possible to truly assess that a student has learned new skills by conducting a test, under supervised test conditions, after checking via photo-ID the identity of the candidate. Microsoft offer this type of test (called an MOS test) at their test centre partners but it is rather expensive (the exam fee is many times the cost of one of our courses) due to the cost of premises, staff and administration.
Our certificate records participation rather than proof of skills.
The certificate demonstrates to potential employers that you have undertaken formal Excel training and are serious about developing excellent Excel skills.
If you feel that a MOS qualification is worth the cost our course will adequately prepare you for it.
